Ok, so I'm gonna hit ya'll up with several things that I've thought about posting in the past day:
First off: My uncle is a songwriter in Nashville. He has many wonderful songs, mainly involving Harley Davidsons, gettin' drunk and hard times with "the old-lady". And he's not just some city slicker that's writin' about shit that he dreams about or saw in a movie, he's the real deal; Certified hell raiser with a golden pen. Anyway. Though he primarily focuses on songwriting, he has done his fair share of touring, taking the stage at events such as Sturgis bike week, Daytona bike week, and various Vietnam POW/MIA rallies across the country. He also recorded one(and only one) album. Recorded in Nashville, it features "The Restless Rider" backed by a talented assortment of top-notch Nashville studio musicians. It was a limited release, originally pressed primarily for use as a promotional tool for his songwriting. Since then "RAR" has decided to re-release the album and this time offer it over the internet. It would be awesome if anyone would go check it out. You can read more about it and take a listen here.
Secondly: I don't know about you guys, but when I'm lookin for good blogs to read, I'm lookin' for characters, or character. I like to be able to read a post and feel that person's personality shine through. I like to be entertained as if I were listening to a friend. However, I think it has to feel natural. It can't seem like forced content. I think that I too often read blogs that seem to have a contrived identity. That the person seems to be writing as someone else, and unless they're good at it (which would probably mean that deep inside somewhere there really is that personality), their posts lack consistency. Anyway, I don't say this to bust on anybody's bloggin'. Hell, do what you want; Who am I? I really just want you guys to go check out bigdumbkid. I think he's a great blogger with a serious motivation problem. I would go as far to call him Tyepad's own Dave Atell. Though dark at times, his posts are real, and personally, his brand of humor cracks me up. So stop by his blog, and if you like what you see, give'em a friendly boot in the ass to get him to post more. He is certainly a character.
Nextly: Hey Korf and Regan!! . . . I think we do it more like HEEEELLLIIIIIOO!!
"Thanks a lot (insert common Hoosier cocktail waitress name here), you've been great.....now get the fuck outta here."
- Regan's Drunk Ass
Lastly: Screw it, I'm goin' to bed.
