Northeast U. Next

Well, not to start this out on a dark note, but I just can't help but be cynical sometimes. It's like, I'm sitting here watching good stuff happen all around me, and in the midst of it, all I can think about is..."how long can this last". I suppose I'm just not one who's used to having good things happen to them regularly. So it's like...I've had three good things happen, time for the table to turn...bring on the weight of the world. But until then, I'll just go with it...the good that is!

Aside from that, I hope to make rest of this somewhat more light-hearted. I checked my mail today and I received a piece of mail from Northeastern University (as you're probably aware...the whole 1 of you who might have seen the site or read my posts, that is where my next show is gonna be rawked). It was a
contract. I'm not exactly sure why, but something about opening that letter and finding a contract was very comforting and rewarding. Not anything like I've made it, Lord knows that's certainly not the case...but it doesn't hurt to dream. So I guess the contract was basically telling me, maybe all hope and small lights at tunnel's end aren't purely imagination and fantasy.

Last exciting thing is that I've got some new material. I just finished working on 2 new songs and have started works on a third. The big news is that one of the 2 new ones, called "Save Me" is actually written as a duet. I have a good friend that goes to UConn, Nicole, who is a fantastic singer, and we worked on the song together. I'm very excited. Although I'll be performing it mostly by myself, if a recording ever happens to work its way into the scene, the idea is to have her record it along side me. Well...that's all for now. Sorry this was a little more "businessy" or whatnot...not so entertaining as I'd like.
Maybe next time!

All Asia Comin' Up

I want to make sure everyone knows that the March 18th show at Espresso Royale has been post-poned to early April. The exact date & time will be posted on the website as we find out. (sorry for any inconvience this causes!)With that said...there are several shows coming up, which is very exciting news. The one closest in-front of us is:

Friday, March 26th
All Asia
334 Mass Ave. (Cambridge side)
All Asia Cafe
8-10pm
6$ (free drink included)
o/f Nick Santostefano

You can get to All Asia by taking the Red Line to the Central Sq. T-Stop, walking back towards the downtown area about 2 blocks, and it'll be on your right! This is going to be a great show so I really
hope everyone can make it out!

The next show will be at Northeastern University @ the Curry Student Center. It is FREE & Open to the Public!!! This is a very exciting show because it will be my 1st headlining opportunity. I'll be co-headlining this show w/my good friend Nick!

So I've been working on some new material which I will hopefully have ready to relay to you at these upcoming shows. Look for one or two to peek there heads at the All Asia show, and several of them at the Northeastern & Espresso Royale shows!!!

Again, thanks for all your support. I hope to see everyone at the upcoming shows!

Return to Bean-town

I just returned from the sunny state of Florida where I was lucky enough to enjoy some of the Gulf Shore beaches for about 10 days. What I've decided upon my return to Boston, where it is cold, dark, and dreary, is that this whole "cold" business is completely unnecessary. I'm pretty sure that we could just do without it and we'd all get along fine. That was really my big epiphany during the trip. That, and the fact that shorts and no shirt are defenitly the way to go. (I also saw Starsky & Hutch, and recommend everyone see this flick)

In other news, I've had a bit of a writers block recently. I guess when I write it seems to come out in spurts. I'll hit a wall for a pretty good amount of time, and then I'll just spit a few things out. I've had a lot of idea recently just whirling around, I guess it's just the process of piecing it all together that's draggin' me down. I feel like I've been lacking inspiration a bit lately. But this is all turning much too depressing, much like the movie "The Hours".

On a lighter note, I watched Benny & Joon recently and reminded me of how good it can all be sometimes. It was certainly a great night. Above all, I really just wanted to give a quick thanks to all of you who have supported me and my recent 'bursting" into the scene. You are all wonderful, and I hope I can keep coming up with stuff that entertains you enough to keep coming to the shows!

That's it for now.

DO IT!!! (Starsky & Hutch style),
